Can a DO be a Surgeon?
Can a DO be a Surgeon?
Certainly, DO's may train to be surgeons and carry out the same surgical procedures as MD doctors.
Both DO's and MD's participate in the same residency program and pass the same license exams following the residency to accomplish this.
During their surgical residencies, when they are taught the identical methods, MD's and DO's frequently collaborate. They next take the identical board exams and carry out identical surgical operations.
