How Long Does It Take To Become a Pathologist?
In order to become a pathologist, you need to complete at least 11 years of education, including four years of college, four years of medical school, and three to four years of residency.
A four-year program combining Anatomical Pathology (AP) and Clinical Pathology (CP) is most popular for individuals who wish to specialize in both fields.
In cases where a pathology subspecialty is pursued after residency, it will require even more training of one to two years.
